  1. This is the beginning of a new era! I’m so excited!

  2. The same sh*t that is going on with apple laptops. they amputated a functioning architecture called x86 and called it silicon / ARM.

  3. But without charging, it’s still can maintain at High performance??

  4. The biggest let down is Microsoft Excel is still half-baked. Cant run few VBA on Arm Surface šŸ˜”

  5. Lee Charles Thompson Eric Davis William

  6. Microsoft follows Apple by deciding to get rid of underperforming and overheating intel chips. I bought the MacBook pro retina 16" core i9 few years ago. I threw it in the trash bin after 2 years : it was overheating continously and had terrible performance. In few years all windows apps will run native on ARM

  7. I want to get into arm but a voice in the back of my head is saying what if the whole thing gets scrapped by Microsoft same we have to go back to x86? Like what if not enough developers get on board with arm windows?

  8. To Windows: please add 16G gpu..

  9. Does anyone know if video editing software like davinci resolve is compatible with this laptop?

    Another quality review, šŸ‘

  11. Nice video

    Video ends at 9:19

  13. Why must computers be perfromant? is it usal to want that optimsed? Or is it?

  14. That’s not as much of a quantum leap as I seen young mIke (Browley)

  15. It seems to be having problems in file explorer. I restart almost every day.

  16. THE GREATEST TECH REVIEWER OF ALL TIME. your way of highlighting the key features and provide a comprehensive understanding of a product is so unique. you’re my favorite Marques

  17. can you recomanded any good (16 gb ram ) with high processor power. my laptop configuration is this
    Device name LAPTOP-RGD1F3BQ
    Processor 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-1155G7 @ 2.50GHz 2.50 GHz
Installed RAM 8.00 GB (7.75 GB usable)
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor

  18. What a mess Mickeysoft have made of this. Developers have no idea what the future holds for PCs — is it ARM or Intel/AMD? Apple just did it but these clowns are more interested in adding features that people don’t want.

  19. Quantum leap = smallest possible leap (ask any physicist)

  20. 9:13 Iā€™m waiting for Arch Linux to work on ARM. Until then, no Bueno. *natively, not a port.

  21. @stephendoherty8291 November 8, 2024 at 9:34 am

I would add that AMD saved Windows Laptops- the power and efficiency jump were massive. The bigger issue was the OS which was still a power hog and that excludes the ones with power hungry GPUs

  22. Iā€™m liking the square design that should be a standard for all laptops in my opinion

  23. @stephendoherty8291 November 8, 2024 at 9:35 am

Hopefully MS will not give up like it did the last time with non X86. The bigger issue is bespoke software – in house apps. Even browser based apps in industry sometimes rely on X86. Even Ryzen has hesitation from "office" buyers as it wasn’t intel even though the chips were at the time – dog poor. Not sure any current MS apps running on any normal mobile CPU (not the power optimised ones) has bad performance. Unlike Apple, Windows Laptops can just add a GPU to offset the graphics lag otherwise and lots of manufacturer choices from Nvidia etc. MS and their developers have also kept the touchscreen controls development something that Apple has yet to deploy outside iOS. Yet we have ever more expanding smartphones with touch and the large iPad Pro… Then the threat of Copilot has potential to use the ARM chips to do what the current X86 chips can optimise easily for some offline tasks

  24. forced eye contact lol? so creepy

  25. 0:33 nice touch!

  26. Why is Mike Brownley schilling for aPple throughout the whole beggin(in?)g of the start (around time 00:53-00:56) of this video?>

  27. Go ASUS ProArt 13.3 2 in 1. RTX 4050 or RTX4060 and btw I have always owned Microsoft brand surface laptops but this time I canā€™t do that because there are a lot comparability issues. AMD ryzrn are the best processors for now

  28. android has used arm chips for a LOOONG time now.

at this point, microsoftpen!s and ctapple should just go hey lets just copy android

    oh wait.

    lmfao

they have already been doing that since win10 šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£šŸ¤£

  29. I think that Asus ZenBook S14 is perfect with nearly the same price and it has:

    Perfect battery life
    OLED 120hz beautiful display
Intel ultra which is NOT ARM based processor

  30. Get an Lenovo Yoga Aura Edition, betrer choice.

  31. hi, love the channel btw. I am unable to print with the Surface laptop 7! Canon is all but silent on the issue. I bought a new printer thinking my 5 yr old printer was the issue. nope, seems to be a widespread problem. reviewers have not mentioned this problem at all. This is a big deal. can you please do an update and put this issue out there.

  32. 10 wasted minutes.

  33. Sadly these shits cost $2000 and performance worse than older laptops

  34. lcd lower res is junk for $2k especially for the same price by samsung, asus and lenovo you have oled 120hz 3k res.

  35. Thanks for the quality review. Iā€™ve been considering switching to an ARM64 based device but also concerned that all of my apps support it. I am a laser engraver so I use Lightburn for my CO2 and Galvo lasers. I have a couple other niche apps that Iā€™ll want to keep an eye out for but this is great otherwise. Thanks

  36. Why is he speaking for all of uS??

  37. I purchased the Surface 15" Laptop. For what I use the Laptop for it is Great not wonder so many peole Love a MAC. The battery life is fantastic, the speed of the processor is Great. No worry about other programs, they will be out soon enought. I have 32bg RAM and 1 TB of storage. Then I upgraded it to 2 TB. So I’m good to GO…

  38. Please tell Satua to bring back windows phone and support Android apps on that as apple and google are not inventing right now

  39. Awesome review, straight to the point, thank you

  40. Microsoft gave up their smart phone many many years ago. Now they want it back….hmmm….šŸ¤”

  41. Picked up the ASUS Proart tablet. One of the few tablets with a full size SD card, perfect for photo editing. Nice to put the camera away and not have to transfer wirelessly. BUT with the Proart tablet 60Hz screen, OLED, but… Proart for creators though, shame on you ASUS.

  42. 3:12 Compatibility*

  43. Such a bummer for me, was going to switch to ARM laptops for school for longer battery life but doing cyber security and running certain applications with it is not possible at all, like VMware is my beloved pretty much for all my classes and I canā€™t use it, hope they add compatibility soon

  44. Windows ARM laptops are improving, with the Surface Laptop 7 offering great battery life and performance. However, app compatibility remains an issue, with some apps running natively, others emulated, and some not working at all on ARM architecture.

  45. Just get a Mac!

  46. @santoshmishra4113 November 8, 2024 at 10:00 am

Will I able to run virtual box in this windows ARM laptop?

  47. 3:12 ā€œcompatabilityā€???

  48. Can i use linux in this laptop

  49. Things like Visual Studio and SQL Server are also some things to think about before buying. They already don’t work on Mac and even the windows ARM versions have issues or won’t install.

  50. Windows on Arm existed since Windows 8
